Yeah, it was prime at $2.99, but still better than anything else I've seen. We also got the $120 executive membership because I hate money and must spend it!

Oddly it worked perfect. Well, the meat anyway. Had other issues. 3hrs on the smoker then 14 or so in the sous vide.

Trying my first butt this weekend! Kroger had them on sale for .99/lb. Picked up a 7lb’er... Figure if I ruin it, I’m only out $7 and change haha!

So I live in SW Va and I've been debating taking a road trip to some BBQ locations in the truck seeing that im right next to NC and TN. Any of you guys from those areas that would suggest any stops for me to check out? Im trying to pick up as much as I can while im in the area before I move away when schools done.

It’s SC, but if you’re already around Charlotte go another 20 minutes south and hit The Dixie Pig - Rock Hill, SC

Frozen food question, the father in law is currently defrosting a Boston Butt in the sink to throw on the smoker. I happen to look at the packaging and it has a sell by date of June 05, 2020 so this thing’s been in the freezer for a while. Are we headed for a case of food poisoning here or are we okay?

There is a spot of freezer burn but it hasn’t been opened yet for a smell test.

Went and took another look, I don’t think that’s freezer burn....
