    Also
    I use this one :anonymous:

My new Weber genesis should be here this week :bananadance:

Upgrading from the 13y/o Weber Q my wife and I got as a wedding gift. I love the grill but with only one burner I’ve been really limited to how I can cook on it.

Also just cleaned my little WSM and now burning off any funkiness before I use it tomorrow. First time in years so it’s a little rusty…

    But that flavor!!

My WSM and Pit Boss both need some love. Been using the Char-broil grill and Cuisinart griddle pretty much exclusively this year.

I’m not going to say it was green… but there was something green. :puke:
I didn’t put it away properly and have been dreading cleaning it for awhile.

Pressure washer and over an hour of 400f+ will hopefully take of anything. We’ll see!

Complete failure. Ruined one chuck roast and one rack of ribs . Overdone, dry crap. A disrespect to the animals that died for this.

    1) I didn't realize the probes were set to Celsius.
    2) I didn't put enough water in the water tray.
    3) I didn't monitor the WSM because for some reason I thought it would be more hands off than what im used to.

Heat was screaming at 300 degrees for 2 hours and I didn't realize.

I may need more practice with this WSM

You can put the roast in the slow cooker or pressure cooker and make pulled beef sammies. Looks like the probe settings were the main factor for excessive heat. Smoke on and learn your cooker.

The WSM will definitely run hot for the first few cooks. Stick with it, though. It's a great cooker once you break it in!

Yup! It cooks fast enough that it doesn’t take on too much like a brisket or butt. Just enough to add complexity. Highly recommend

Ugh just had a hell of a time getting my Recteq grill to reconnect to my wifi... Apparently there's something it doesn't like about my new router that is not allowing it to connect the grill to the App(for the first time), it will connect on my old router just fine. I went through changing all kinds of settings, matching setting from the old router to the new one with no luck.. This guy is a god damn genius! Set the SSID on the old router to what I am using on the new router, the grill happily connects to the App/wifi, then shut down the old router and turn on the new router. Like magic it's ready to go...

Dealing with this crap while cooking and then getting sucked into a work call.. Ended up overcooking this glorious meal... It was still edible, not charcoal.. :(
