Anyone here use a stick burner. Bought a cord of almond for firewood at the tail end of winter and have some leftover. Been using chunks in my smoker but I’m thinking this stuff would be killer in a stick burner. So now I want one :anonymous:

    Oh and I’m cooking a tri-tip.

My cousin uses logs in his weber I just can’t remember how he did it. Been awhile.

Anybody have a recipe for smoked beans? Tried to search through the thread but didn't see anything. Was thinking of making some smoked mac & cheese soon and figured this would make a nice complement. Going to give Cold Iron's mac & cheese recipe a go.

    6 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
    1 large shallot diced
    1 Tablespoon garlic, minced
    1 cup tomato sauce
    ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
    ¼ cup molasses
    ¼ cup brown sugar
    ¼ cup Dijon mustard
    1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

1 15 oz can navy beans
1 15 oz can red beans

Dice up bacon and cook in a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Add in shallots and garlic and cook for a couple of minutes. Stir everything else in and put in smoker. Stir every 30 minutes.

Haven’t tried myself, but recently saw this. Figured it could be adapted to a smoker.

Put a chunk of meat over it from the juice to drop and you're money.

I was kidding, I think any Keto fake noodle would ruin this recipe!
The ones I have tried were from whole foods, but they either have good texture and taste like crap, or they have alright taste but are mush.
