It is a Weber. I had the name wrong - WBF has it, Ranch Kettle.

Yeah, you said range and I couldn't find it, then I stumbled on the Webber site. I should have quit looking. Was thinking of getting a wsm 22", now I'm having other thoughts.

The ranch is the holy grail of Weber Kettles. Most people will never see one. They are huge. 1100sqin cooking space. Pretty much two bags of Kingsford jist to get it going. Weber has been making it for decades and it has taken many different design changes. it will also set you back $1300 bucks. Not a grill you are going to use on a regular bases. But one you definitely want to add to your collection. Every now and then one pops up for sale on a forum or some lucky bastards finds one at garage sale/Craigslist for $50 bucks.

They opened up a weber restaurant here in Indy. Super Bad ass, one off, all aluminium, charcoal cookers. To bad the cooks only know how to burn and dry out everything they touch. I've givin the place more then a few chances with the same result. Really hurt my feeling seeing all that talent going to waste.

    3' diameter? Thats adorable. :)

But seriously for that price why not just build a pit using cmu. For a fraction of the price you could easily build one. If its area youre worried about you can always break it down and pile it up. Doesnt take that much time to put together.

Agreed, but with the Weber you could easily / quickly haul it in back of truck to events.

I guess if you planned on doing competitions. But for $1300 there are better custom rigs.

For $1300, I could buy a lot of $50 22.5 kettles. I've seen them for as cheap as $25 at Target before.

Yep. Catch Target at the end of summer when they are setting out the back to school stuff. They mark down all of the grills. My kettle was 50% off and around $45. I've seen them at 75% off too.

It's not even competitive. It's a novelty. A die hard cooker would half to search for reasons to use it 7-8 times a year. The thing will hold 20 dozen burgers? You could make money from a catering stand point. Just be ready to Serve 300 hundred + plates a gig to make it worth it. With a couple of cheap mods. You could make that thing a hell of a smoke thou.
