Don't blame your alcoholism on me. But it is good to see I've had some effect on someone, somehow.

I believe I see your point now.

I tried some Carolina reaper salsa the other day at Moes. It was really good and not as hot as I thought it would be . Hard to explain the heat, more like a tingle that came as a wave over my head.I think it would be really good put in a rub.

LOL don't worry about that. Not into the sitting around drinking beer watching a fire burn my self. Maybe at one time but that time was a very long time ago.

Despite what some may think about the Navy ;)

Happy birthday Army today, when I make it back home going to see if you want to break some clays. Never have found a way to a way to make them tasty on the grill or smoker though...

Lost our only Army man who we used to hunt in SD with a few years ago. Kevin punched a ticket to spend 3 years in Nam as a GB in SF. After 8 years he got out and eventually retired as a LEO in the Boston red light district. Couple of years ago the Agent Orange did what the VC nor the gangs in Boston could not do and he passed away of cancer.

His contribution on the prairie is missed.

the way I look at it, it takes years off the end of my life to which I would prob be in a nursing home or something which I'd rather not be in anyhow...

Giving my first UDS a test fire. Loaded it up with charcoal, realized that my charcoal basket is HUGE. Oh well. Guess I can do long ass smokes. Gonna hope this fire melts away the rest of the paint and then tomorrow I'll spray on the high temp paint. Saturday will hopefully be the first day to smoke some meat!

Any more experienced smokers in here have input as to whether this is a good deal? I am looking to get something legit so I can get away from the Weber grill to try and smoke.

    https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/for/6177719633.html

It is the one in the middle for $40. And it is a few streets down from me, so do not swipe this from me if it is a good deal. :hungry:

Hells yeah, I would. Looks in great shape for $40 plus it's well broken in. Great next step for you. Once you get good on that, get a WSM maybe. After that, you're ready for big time like a Primo Oval or a Lang if you like the offset style.
