Where do you all buy your brisket? I don't know of any good local stores with a good meat department besides Whole Foods

I used to get it at Costco, but now they're up to $3.99/lb, so I'm having to think long and hard about selling a kidney before I get one there again .

In Seattle area, Costco has prime for 3.69 per. Works for me since there's only two of us and I buy it twice a month.

Ran out of jerky - time for another batch! London broil, sliced 3/8" against the grain. Pepper and garlic seasoning. I did a small test batch of a few strips marinated in a teriyaki mix. Before we layed them flat on a rack, but they stick and take up a lot of space. This time we hung them - got a lot more in there than before. Getting some hickory smoke now... yum!

Yesterday I mixed 1lb chopped bacon with 2lbs of ground beef and some shredded cheddar cheese. Formed up some meat pattys and sprinkled some rub on them. Threw them in with some oak for about 2.5 hours until they hit 145*. They turned out pretty awesome for something I just kind of winged.

Last minute decided to host a little July 4th bash for some of the AZTW boys. I always buy bone in but last minute you gotta work with what you're given. 13lbs in total, rubbed down with @bvbull200 rub and a light layer of mustard. Gunna be a long day for me.
