How long can you store charcoals for ?

I already have about 12 bags in the garage and store close to me still has 34 bags of weber briquettes on clearance for $5.98 lol

Idk, but I am at 6 18# bags of Kingsford original, and 5 bags of of Weber. Should last me a while. At least until the next Weber clearance or the Memorial/Independance Day sales at HD and Lowe's.

Saw my first tri-tip last week at a butcher shop. So it is spreading.

Keep it dry and out of humidty a damn long time. I have mine sitting on a pallet in the garage. The humid air in the summer worries me some but so far not a problem. This spring I finally flipped the bottom bags to the top when I got some more. A few of the double bags on bottom are 20 pounders and they haven't sold the twin packs of those for at least 3 years now. They are burning just fine.

I get below 25 bags of charcoal or lead shot I start to get nervous and can't sleep at night.

Tri-tip is a damn good cut to smoke to about 130*, and does not require you to plan your day around the cook time. Good for camping also. Two hours is a good amount of lead time to get the alcohol fueled fuckery started at camp while the meat cooks.

My 10 bags of charcoal will last a while, but I do get that feeling of trepidation when I am below 2k rounds of 556.

My local butcher is moving locations to across town so he had a sale yesterday to clear out his coolers. Brisket was 30% off! Unfortunately I was out of town on a wheeling trip and only read about it late last night :(

Could you guys give me some suggestions on something? I'm gonna be going on a vacation for a few days to Tennessee with my family and I want to get a couple cigars to smoke with my father, I could use some suggestions on what to buy

Saw smoking tips and techniques, thank the search function for that haha. I guess I'll just go to a cigar shop and ask for some suggestions

But seriously, in TN we are known more for smoking meat than making cigars.

Tried like hell and kept hitting the like button but it wouldn't let me do a double like. Looks great!

Cut up my brown sugar maple cured bacon last night and cooked breakfast on the Genesis today and ate outside.

Tri tip is from the bottom sirloin. Just forward of the round in the rear where the leg connects roughly. Hence all the grain changes. So a sirloin steak of sorts. Good size for quick cooks and delicious as others have said.

Grabbed a couple bags of the Weber briquettes from Target, not for $5.98 though. They were $9.98, oh well, I really just got it to try them out.
