Indeed. Perfectly cooked. And he knows to slice it in 2 directions, which amazingly some people ignore.

What temp did you take it to? First one I did, I didn't take it high enough and it ended up with tough and dry. Next one I took to 200 and it was good.

For the SKU, right above where you type it in there is a search product link. Brings up a pop up, search Weber 22 and select one you want. Auto fills the SKU . Took me a bit to figure that out:anonymous:

I learned after messing up the first one. Tri tip is fairly easy.

Mexican food website I visit a lot has many recipes and they call for pecan. I always thought it would be mesquite.

Or didn't know. Dammit I knew it felt wrong halfway through.

So cut from either end? Until the grain changes?

Probe test? I had some that I took to 205 until tender, and passed the probe test.

    Did you rest it?

Probe for tenderness is what I meant, sorry. Probe should slide in and out like butter.

I'm no expert, just little tricks that helped me.

I simply make the first cut in the middle where the change in grain directions intersect, and cut each half against their respective grain.
