Not as a professional cook, but I started in about the 6th grade.

Anyhow I'm not great at it, but I enjoy it when it turns out.

Do it. It will get a lot of use and is easy to take on camping trips, as I did at Joshua Tree for the meteor shower.

We'll see. I want to, but I just bought new skids, buying bed stiffeners shortly, and a new wheel for a spare...

Agreed. They're too small for always use but perfect for camping and tailgating. At that price, can't go wrong.

Unless you are always cooking for more than 4 people, I think it is great for always use. It will fit most things other than a full packer. And I just love how fuel efficient it is.

Yeah, I should have said unless you always want to cut your rib racks in half, which is actually no big deal. And spot on about the fuel... the bigger they are, the more fckng around you have to do. At least that's what she said  :rimshot: :D

I think you guys are a little extreme on the subject of barbecue, to take a WSM camping.

But nowadays I take pre-Smoked Meats when traveling. I don't do big campouts. I stay as light and under-the-radar as possible.

So can anybody tell me why this Android system just capitalizes words at random?

Like why the devil did it capitalize Smoked Meats?

It's either chase butterflies and look for fauna or tend your pit while chasing butterflies and looking for fauna. Fck the former.

Maybe it thinks it's a proper noun, like Monty Python.

I coil ribs and skewer - think of 2 C's kinda interlocked with space between. place on end on rack - a 14" WSM can handle 2 racks per shelf...works pretty well for St. Louis cuts - I can't find full spares so there is that.

Nothing extreme about it. We spend a lot of time in the desert drinking and general bs'ing around. Might as well have some meat smoking.

Funny, I don't have a WSM to take camping but I did just buy one of the small Masterbuilt Propane ones to take camping with us when WM had it on clearance for $21. I could smoke it at home and then take it with me but then how do I justify sitting around making sure the food is good while drinking beer and BSing with friends?

Let the Charcoal storing begin...........well tomorrow. I think I've got atleast 8 bags of charcoal in my building outside. Once it goes on sale tomorrow I want to buy more to hopefully carry me through the winter until the next sale which I'm assuming is going to be Memorial Day. My question is, is it ok to store it on the floor of my building? Its just a 12x12 wood building with wood floors.

Mine sits on a pallet I made out of 2x4's and 1x6's with large gaps in between. Doesn't have to be fancy just let air under it and around it. Then in the spring before purchasing more at the Memorial Day sale will rotate it and put the stuff on bottom on top. You don't want too much to have to move when you rotate it. But enough to make it through a long winter and a little extra. Just in case. I stack mine in the plastic wrappers of course, 2 wide and 2 deep and switch direction at each new level. Pretty solid stack to the ceiling of the garage. Heated garage so the truck stays outside in the winter. Charcoal inside LOL.
