Good catch. There's a lot of other stuff on sale too, some of it not so useful to us but worth a look...

Yeah, I should have posted the whole sale. I like my TimeStick Trio if anyone is looking for another handy accessory. It is good for synchronizing different meats and setting quick alarms for timed processes like setting a glaze and the like.

Good idea. I have the Extra Big & Loud Timer, don't use it much for Q but use it a lot for other cooking. The thing will not be ignored, loud as hell and can read it from across the room.

This is actually a good sale, great prices on high quality stuff.

Treat it same as a chuck roast, and make chuckie burnt ends is what I would do. A blade roast turns out well braised, so smoke it low and slow with rub, rest a little, cube, and braise. Of course can never go wrong with a bacon wrap on anything!

Don't flog me, don't taze me dude... due to a combination of wtf I had to cook a butt in crock pot. Low for 10 hours, 5 pounder bone in, 4 tbs Pitfaced original rubbed all over, a few shakes of worchestshire (sp). Damn good on fresh sandwhich roll with slaw topping.

Life is full of WTF. That's why we have gas grills, ovens, cast iron, stove tops, and, yes, even crock pots.

I do like coleslaw on a pulled pork sandwich.

Got tapped to cook a small wedding reception in a couple of weeks. Well, not a wedding reception. It is a post-wedding party to take place the day after the wedding for close friends and family of the couple. Only about 50 people or so, but we'll be doing chicken, ribs, and brisket. Extremely excited to be doing that again. Between the move and school, I haven't done events as often lately.

I am planning on getting a larger smoker so I can start doing events like this. I have my BBQ sauce that I make and I have my spice rub for the meats I just need to buy a smoker large enough so I can smoke larger amounts for parties.
