Does anybody here like to cook with beer?

I'm thinking about making a Sam Adams Boston Lager pizza this week, I found a good recipe on their website.

I'll thinking about making it this week (i'll try and post some pics), there are a lot of good beer recipes on the Sam Adams website.

    here is the recipe

Samuel Adams Boston Lager® Thick Crust Pizza
    Ingredients
    Crust Ingredients:
1 Bottle Samuel Adams Boston Lager®
    2 cups white flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder

    Instructions
Combine ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Evenly spread onto a greased 9 x 13" baking pan. Sprinkle with your favorite sauce, toppings, and grated mozzarella cheese. Bake at 425 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes or until pizza is golden brown. Let stand about 10 minutes before cutting and serving.

It makes sense that beer in pizza would work out well due to the reaction to the beer with yeast. That recipe sounds good. Cant wait to see the pics of the finished product.

So you know, if you ever want to get extreme with pizza try grilling it. If you want to go easy and quick by a premade dough. Get the grill hot maybe medium grease the grill and throw the pizza dough on the grill after you have it shaped. Once its almost done add the sauce, toppings and cheese and you are good to go. You get the crispy dough and the toppings taste awesome depending on what you top it with you can grill the toppings............ you will def do that more than once........... trust me

i did it on a pizza stone sitting in the bbq for almost an hour, i mean it heated up for about an hour to get it as hot as possible, not cooking it for an hour! (it's got two crazy hot infrared burners out of four burners) - so it was really, really hot. i've used premade and homemade dough - the homemade dough is so much better and will puff up much better like this one did on the edges.

That's cool.... I always make the grilled pizza with the freshest ingredients. I haven't made dough in a while though. Goling to have to get on that, my grill is sitting in a bad thunder storm right now. We need the rain but I was going to make a beer can chicken for dinner.
