    when I use herbs in cooking it’s always, fresh rosemary, thyme, & sage. I’ll have to try junipers.

    You can also substitute a bit of London dry gin (Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire, Beefeater are all common) if you can’t find juniper berries.

    Juniper will be dry if you find it. It doesn't rehydrate well and can end up as "sand" if not removed. I put a tblspn or so on a cutting board and give them a crush with a pot bottom then stain them out afterwards.

    It was some salt cured deer hams I had sliced up... So I kinda wound up with a country fried corned venison steak. My wife was craving a Willie burger this weekend (depression era hamburger that's mostly bread and basically deep fried, Willie's is the name of a burger shop around here that does em) and I told her I'd set some meat out and make some one night this week... Well I had my bread crumbs ready and then sliced open the bag and my burger came out in slices so I had to improvise
