    Here are 2 of the items I am making for Mother's Day Sunday. I am making, in conjuction with the rest of my Dad's menu is : Butternut Squash and Mussel soup. And a deep dish tarte tartin. Both of these were made before and I had to dump all photos on my phone so there will be pics... And both of these items were so good..... What's everyone else making???

    ^^^That looks delicious, thanks I am hungry again!!! Just had a dragon bowl at a pretty good restaurant near me. The special menu looked awesome but we were there at 4pm and the specials didnt start until 530 which sucked. One of the specials was chilled filet mignon with hot pepper relish. Another was pulled pork belly tacos......... they were both my top choices......

    Did you ever notice how often we overlook even the simplest of pleasures?

    Fresh wheat bread, still warm from the toaster.

    A thin, tangy layer of mayo...just enough to keep the bread from getting soggy.

    Crisp, tart romaine lettuce, plucked from the head in the field last week.

    Tomatoes that are firm, pungent, strong flavored, taken from the vine by your own hand yesterday afternoon.

    And soft-cooked Food of the Gods, still hot from the skillet:

    I already made lunch for tomorrow. I made a tomato salad that I didnt have any room for tonight's dinner. I also sliced up strawberries that I am going to reduce balsamic and sugar and drizzle over the strawberries. Everything is set up for tomorrow.
