All of this yardwork is wearing me out so bad that I dont have any time or energy to cook. But it is going to be all done in the next 2 weeks. That is pool installed, hot tub installed, all of the stumps removed... I cut down around 30 trees. Landscaped, pool deck etc..... just in time for a big BBQ when its all done, cant wait.....

I live in Orange County, NY. I am around 97% done in the yard. The skidsteer goes back Monday and I have the backhoe as long as I need it, its my father in law's. I know that when everything is done it will be worth it, right now I am braking my back. I am going to try to take some pics of what it looks like now, then when it's done!!! Already after cutting the trees down is a huge difference. Now there are no more stumps in the yard. I have to get rid of some rocks and debris then I am done. Everything will be done by July, I can't believe it but it will all be done!!!! WE are excited. The pool will be installed by Wed, my Bday!!! Can't wait

Smoking a shoulder today. I smoked one 2 weeks ago and forgot that I was out of hickory. The hardwood charcoal did a nice job but just didn't impart that smoke flavor. Just tasted like an amazingly tender pork loin or something. Using plenty of hickory today. I usually smoke for about 6 hours and then another 4-6 in an over at 210 degrees to get it up to 190, but I'm goin to experiment a bit and bump the oven to 250 and see if it gets the meat there quicker. The shoulder is wrapped in the oven anyway, so I don't think it'll dry out.

Plus I bought a turkey breast, which will thaw this week and then go into a 36-hour brine for next weekend's smoking session. Wish I had a source for fresh turkeys.

    I love Smoker Sundays!!

Those burgers look good. I made burgers tonight, cant get the pictures to download to my yahoo account. What type of knee surgery did you have? I had 2 knee scopes, they were a pain and that;s about it. Lots of physical therapy and living through the pain.

That is the same thing I had while I was in the Army. My issue was after the first surgery they had to go back in and take some more out. I would have definitely rathered they got it all the first time. Hopefully I dont have to go through that again. I feel for you right now. And of course my knee is killing me right now thinking about it...
