    I just got 5 chicken quarters on the smoker for about an hour now. I think since this is the first time I used real wood charcoal and it got hotter then I thought it would that I wont leave them on that long..... maybe 3 hours total

    But, if you find a brand you like, stick with it. Much better for ya.

    Here is the smoked chicken with about an hour to go on the smoker.

    It seems hot but I am not going to mess with it for like 45 minutes. These lump charcoal are still so hot I wish I had something else to throw on the smoker. I want to smoke some sausage or kielbasa. I am so into this smoker....

    Pasta night. Made a spinach and mushroom white sauce with a salad on the side. Decided to use our stock pile of 6lbs of normal pasta rather then buying some whole wheat stuff :rolleyes:

    Stock piling pasta is a good thing. I think we have like 10-15 pounds in the house. And that is after we just cooked off like 8 pounds for a dinner not too long ago.

    i went to a garage sale, and bought all old griswald ancient cast iron.

    man they are superior to the new stuff in every way..

    those smoked chicken rear quarters look fantastic!! did you brine them first?

    But they were juicy when I flipped them after cooking them for almost 4 hours they were super juicy and dripping everywhere.
