The dinner party went great. We had triple chocolate brownies for dessert, everything was good!!!! I usually never get any complaints but I am not bragging but everything was really good!!! I am now a fan of smoking ribs then basting them with BBQ sauce and grilling them low and slow for a while to get the sauce nice and glazed on the ribs. I will definitely do that again!

I think with these modern times a lot of the husbands are doing more of the cooking now unlike the old days when I was growing up where my mom cooked every single meal but I loved it!!!

Hah, I cook a ton but I don't ever take pictures. Nothing too complex anyway, just meats and veggies. I used to bake elaborate things all the time, I'll still sometimes bake simple drop cookies, etc for my friends and coworkers.

In the last week or so I've done some simple chicken thighs in the slow cooker, chicken quarters w a peppery BBQ sauce, ginger kale, curry spiced yams, a batch of spaghetti sauce since there is an overload of very ripe tomatoes now, and a linguisa/veg frittata. Tonight I'm doing pork belly slices, roasted broccoli, and baby bok choy and will prob do a simple beef-red wine stew in the slow cooker for the next couple days' lunches.

Anyone have a favorite brisket or tri-tip recipe for a slow cooker, without sugar?

I agree with the one poster that posted with the new trend in times that the men work cook alot more then you think.

I am lucky, my wife is a very good cook. She can sook anything and it comes out good.

BoarsHead Honey Maple Ham & New Yorker white American cheese rolled in pilsbury crescent rolls. I'll brush them with a mixture of whipped egg white and a pinch of cinnamon & sugar before they go in.

Trick is to roll up the ham tight so the cheese does not ooze out while baking them.

I hope my coworkers like them.

That rice cake looks/sounds amazing. The beer looks good, too. I've never eaten or seen a rice cake like that, and as a Lover of Carbs (and salty pork products) it's very intriguing.

Currently making a beef pot roast in the slow cooker and a cumin-citrus pork tenderloin in the oven, along w some roasting sweet potatoes. I'll take pics this time.

I have a standing offer with everyone I know that they are welcome for dinner any day as long as they wash the dishes.

Super easy to make. Make rice, sautee olive oil and onions and add any meat you have around, there was also salami in this. Once the onions are sauteed along with the meat then add the saute mix in with the rice. Add olive oil to pie dish, coat with bread crumbs then add mix top with cheese and bread crumbs 350 until golden brown.... good to go
