    I've been in the food industry for 25 years. It has it's good and bad days just like any other job. Definitely a high stress work enviromnent though.

    ^The bad thing about the stress is that other people are putting it on you. You have nothing to do with lowering it. I remember dipping my head in a 5 gallon bucket full of ice water just to make it through the shift. I cant do that anymore. I was thinking about something a little more specialty, like a small restaurant, invitation only or maybe a supper club and do a dinner once a month.

    Well sounds like you have plenty of experience from all aspects of the restaurant business and thats cool that you cleaned dishes and was a bus boy for a while...nothing wrong with doing the lower end jobs. Like you said though with doing all those jobs just lets you see how a restaurant is really ran!! I love watching Gordon Ramsey and his Kitchen Nightmare shows. :D

    You just have to rise above the stress. Not much really bothers me too much these days. I've seen too many kitchen melt downs and it's just not worth it too get worked up over stuff.

    Believe it or not it is not really that far from the truth. Although I never really had a chef curse at me or have I ever cursed at others but it does get stressful.

    Well I did not eat any of the pie last night. I woke up this morning riddled with the stomach virus that has been running around. I was the last one to get it in my household. I thought that I avoided it, guess not. I could not get off the couch all day, all I did was sleep and run to the bathroom....not a good day. I dont feel any better. I called in sick for tomorrow already. I have not eaten anything in 26 hours.

    I have been drinking water all day like 2 oz at a time, it doesnt stick around. I went to the bathroom for the first time today and it was kind of clear. I guess that means its at least sticking around for now. I heard some really weird noises when I woke up this morning like 2 gallons of fluid running through my intestines......and it has been a long day since.... but this is not the place to discuss that. Sorry guys

    Clear means your system is clearing out which is good but your probably going to feel like crap for a while longer. Dont worry, I think most of us has been through this one time or another. :eek:

    Just had some toast with butter and cinnamon. Only one piece with a little bit of butter and cinnamon. I did read that cinnamon with warm water drank like tea is good for stomach issues.

    I had a total of 3 slices of toast with butter and cinnamon. It seems to be staying down now. I still feel like I am at 50%

    Just had a personal frozen 4 cheese pizza. I think I am feeling better. Earlier I had a peanut butter and nutella sandwich with some soup and it hung around. I guess it is a good sign that I am hungry right??? As you can tell I never get sick, there was no way for me to get around this one!!!
