    So much for a simple antipasta salad platter, $300 later.... got honeydew and prosciutto so that should be super good. Prosciutto was only $8 a lb with $1 per pound coupon. I got 3 lb and froze 2 lb..... Hope it looks as good as Dennis'

    I honestly just fell in love with tacomaworld... I found the foodie thread. *hugs* all around! Trucks and food... I may have found heaven. The first thing that comes to my mind to add to a foodie thread is the meal a friend of mine and I cooked... That probably shaved a few years off of my life.. It's ok though, they were the years at the end of my life... Quick description, no pics (sorry!) as we did this almost 8 years ago..

    Had a friend coming to the same vacation as us, from Maine, and paid him to bring us a marine cooler FULL of live lobsters.. Much much cheaper if you know someone that can go to the docks and get em fresh off the boats.

    Now, clarify 25 pounds of butter and simmer with a LOT of garlic.. Making a clarified garlic butter... Slowly add to water 2:1 butter to water ratio don't forget the garlic hunks! This is an emulsion.. So no boiling, you don't want the butter and water to separate.

    Now... Cook the lobsters in butter...

    Dip meat in (of course) garlic butter...

    Ever eaten lobster and only lobster, till full? Ever done it in such an unhealthy manner?

    Like I said, those are the years at the END of your life (;

    (this was probably. More like 10 years ago, I was still drinking, and I've been sober for ten years come January)
