i usually make fried rice when i have left over steamed rice.... if your rice is too moist, the rice will not come out as great..

so with the old rice, i usually toss it all in a flat pan and give it some colour using oyster sauce.. and throw in all your ingredients.. some ingredients but not limited to:

peas, carrots, corn, chinese sausages, eggs, ham, chicken/beef, baby bok choy, seafood...etc.

They look good and you have to expect some burning. That really gets the skin tasty though!!!!

 

This is the beer can chicken I made....... looked more like the turkey from Christmas Story......... but boy was that good!!!!

 

cool! what you use for seasoning and what kinda beer did you shove in it?

 

my fried rice that i made a while ago... just wanted to show ya'll.....usually i would have the peas n carrots but obviously this one doesnt...... the last one is a different one i made.. it had some seafood in it and baby bok choy

Coors light, only because it was the only beer in the fridge. I did the usual seasonings paprika, chili pepper, and barbecue seasoning. Maybe a little mesquite too.

hah! clairemont mesa!! i kno i kno! ive only been to crab hut, the korean place right next door, the boba place right next door and another korean place down the street.... and the liquor store and the ranch market there... oh wait.. walmart too

 

man i remember back then when they (no particular place) cooked the seasoning/spice with the crispy chicken... now it seems like they just sprinkle it at the end -_-... its not as hot/spicy and flavourful

i wish they had a boba place here in fallbrook!!!

 

Yeah the skin burns pretty easy so I had to keep a good eye on them so they wouldnt get to bad. Came out tasty though so thats all that matters!!

Fo sho!! Especially in LA and Orange County areas!

 

sometimes i like to take the ingredients for hot pot and make a dry version/stir fried version... so instead of sitting there with a bunch of raw stuff and cooking it in the hot pot, i cook it all up without the broth/liquid... taste similar

I usually eat fried rice with a spoon or fork. I can eat sticky white rice with chop sticks though.

 

use whatever you feel comfy with... for me when eating out, most of the time i used the little chopstick bowl for the rice/fried rice.. the flat plate i use to put my sides on..so instead of grabbing from the main plate of meat or fish or veggies over and over, i simply transfer some to a smaller flat plate in front of me where i can access it easier..

if the rice/fried rice is really dried and isnt sticky, i just bring the chopstick bowl up to my mouth and kinda use the chopstick to shove it in...lol
