So, 5-something AM this morning, and I'm making my lunch to take to work as I do every day. As it turns out, my wife and step-yout went food shopping without me this weekend. This some times worries me greatly.

Doing a gourmet dinner this weekend. I might do organic salad, I think I am going to make pan fried sea scallops with bacon as an appetizer, soup dry aged steaks with lobster or some kind of fish with some kind of dessert. I just saw a recipe for lemon tiramasu. I dont know yet....

    HA!

Ok, first things first: This is coming from the guy that didn't know you could freeze bacon until about a year and a half ago! No, literally!

I know *of* gouda, but I've never had it before. I've only recently started trying and liking ANY spicy food...think the medium hots at the Wing Palace were as spicy-hot as I'd ever eaten before the last couple years.

So, unprompted, my wife decides that I'm going to be trying chipotle gouda on my sammiches this week.

At 5AM, this was a startling revalation. I'll let you know how the sammiches turn out though!

Everyone is invited, since you are the first one to ask you will be the guess of honor and you can make the menu or give me a list of wants or wishes as far as the dishes go and I will make it from there. Let's see what you got.... I can make anything!!!

Not that anyone was on the edge of their seats, breathlessly awaiting my sammich tale...

    ...

...but I gotta say, that's a pretty fuckin' good roast beef sammich. I've never had 'spicy cheese' before, but she's got some damned kick, and wow what a difference!
