^^^ Yep, sometimes the quick and easy stuff tastes just as good as the prepare-all-day-long fancy dishes.

Yesterday was 92 degrees here, so I wanted something cold for dinner. I put this quick salad together:
lettuce, onion, cherry tomatoes, grapes, apple, avocado, corn, carrots, feta cheese and left-over bratwurst (have to have meat!) with italian dressing.

Theres "Black" people which are actually brown skinned, and only skin deep.

then theres this animal, that is a distant relative to a Dinosaur. Makes you wonder what the dinosaurs actually looked like. Skin color, meat, and bone color...

it is a food, that when you close your eyes and eat it, it is the same exact thing you have been eating. Difference is they are free range and better for you.

Color never bothered me on a person or my food. :pirate: "If it looks good, eat it."

Yam, egg, bacon? Bacon to cook the yam down in. Maybe coconut shavings on top?

I was not being specific to race in a bad way. just saying as there are different skinned people, the same applys to other mammals. Translates to our food.

Look at a "FISH" - most people think of a white flaky meat. Then the Salmon comes in to play.

Color should have NO bearing on the flavor or willingness to eat a food. But it does.

    Remember the colored ketchups?
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Just tired of closed minded people spoiling a great meal. I cut all the "eww" out of my reeal life friends, and my children don't use it either. If they do not like a food after trying it once, I do not force them to eat it. Food should be an enjoyable experience.

I think it was like 99 or 2000, I cant remember. I think it was before I got out of the Army that is how I came up with those years. I only remember purple or maybe green, I only had purple tho.

Wow....way to take a comment out of context!

Salmon makes for a very poor argument here. When it comes to salmon, color is very important as the color of the flesh is affected by their diet. Farmed salmon would look no different than trout but everyone expects salmon to be a bright orange-red so they are fed dye to make them look right. But because they are not able to swim freely in currents like their wild relatives their flesh is mushy, not firm. Can you taste a difference between farmed and wild salmon? Yes.

You racist Lisa! I suppose you only eat the white meat of chicken?:D

That was a little out there, I'm not sure why skin color was brought into this in the first place.

Actually yes :anonymous: I do prefer breast meat over drumsticks or thighs.

Honestly that rebuttal blew me away - that thought never even crossed my mind when I made my post. If I had thought someone would interpret it that way I wouldn't have made the post.

Yeah, it was quite a stretch to even relate your comment to race.

In a pinch, I email them to myself from my phone. Then, from a PC or lappy, log in to gmail and viola...perfectly usable / downloadable attachments!

This works even emailing to yourself from gmail on your phone, btw.
