Tis good beer. Never had it until I moved to PA. I can't understand why it's not available nationwide.

I laugh way too hard at the Ramsey memes on the 'net.

Funny thing is, that's just his american tv shtick. Download some if his european shows, he's totally, completely different. Actually pleasant, even.

    Adobada Spanish for "marinated"

"Carne Adovada" is a variation popular in New Mexican cuisine. The New Mexican version is usually chopped, cubed pork cooked in a red chile sauce with a bit of garlic, and sometimes cumin and other spices. Usually this is served as a soup-like dish. Carne Adovada may also be served wrapped in a burrito, or occasionally found in tacos or enchiladas.

I use a pork shoulder or butt... then let it cook in a crock pot all day long. :D

Here's an entry in the Mrs. Xaks category. I'm going to guess, because she prepared them and the yout baked them:

Spiced ground mix of some kind
    Jasmine rice cooked in stock
    Fresh tomato
    Salt/Pepper
    Lots of garlic
    Fresh peppers
    Italian breadcrumbs
    Italian herb blend

In some quantities. I just added the corn. It was DAMN fine eating for dinner!

From the "make do with what you have" department.

I get home late, so I'm lookin at whipping up something from leftovers. Quick cooking, if possible.

So, I find some leftover veggies from last night's stir fry...some fresh bell peppers, some broccoli stems, some shallots and sweet onions.

Hmm, some leftover jumbo shells from when she made stuffed shells a couple days back.

I spy a half-pound of thick cut hickory bacon in the back of the fridge.

    ...

Whip out the big honkin' 12" nonstick. Dice the bacon and fry it up, set aside to drip on paper towels.

DON'T drain the pan. Use that hot, delicious bacon drippings to quickly saute diced broccoli, peppers, onions, and shallots.

Slice the shells up crosswise, creating spiral flat cuts of pasta...double-fry up the already cooked pasta.

Toss the whole mess together, sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar. Leftover ghoulash!
