Interesting, a butcher shop I go to here in PA sells basically the same thing but calls them pork roll-ups. They use a center cut pork chop instead of a loin, and stuff with sausage, and then wrap in bacon. I usually add some sweet baby rays bbq sauce near the end of the cooking process.

....and on that note sweet potato, chicken, spicy sausage, and spinach stew. Oh, can of tomato in there too. My wife and I would always make this when we went camping. We'd start it at home, freeze it then throw it in the cooler. Sooooooo good!

Thanks Scott! I get depressed every time I go to buy steaks though. It's maddening how much food cost nowadays! At least the price of gas has dropped to bargain basement prices. :) Your stew looks good. I may have to break out the crock pot here this week.

Not good out here either - beef prices are outrageous. I'm just glad I stocked up on ribeyes last time they were on sale and stuffed my freezer. I think I got them for $6/lb...would cost me $11/lb now.

^^^Looks good Dennis. That's my kind of meal right there.

Good luck Mike! The hospital where my kids were born actually had great food. People would come in from around the area to eat lunch there. Buffet style cafeteria, and reasonable prices.
