Will do for sure. Recipe suggests leaving the marinade to sit prepared for 6 hours, which is my deviation. I made it in the blender and tossed my chunked pork into it and I'll let it sit until 2/3PM tomorrow and get it ready for cooking.

Smells pretty good already. Not sure if I'll end up serving it taco style or in a bowl like the recipe shows, but bowl is most likely.

Love me some avocado. I used to eat a whole avocado by itself as part of lunch. :hungry:

Makes zero sense. That's like loving Fruity Pebbles without loving the milk.

Do you think the red onions worked or was it better without?

No they were great. Definitely added to the whole dish.

The only reason I didn't have them initially is because I pickled them myself and stuck the jar in the freezer to cool down since it was kind of late, as far as getting them finished by the time meat was ready to come out of the oven. Then I forgot they were in there until after I made the first bowls and took pics.

We all had the onions. Would recommend them if anyone tries the recipe. Super easy to do.

This is the best chocolate stout I've ever had outside of Yorkshire, and I think that's because it's also from Yorkshire.

If you can, keep an eye out for the Sam Adams Winter Collection. It's a limited released 12pack of christmas/holiday themed beers.

One of the flavors is a chocolate bock. This is the ONLY time this beer is available.

    ...

I don't even LIKE chocolate much, but this bock is worth driving over a few grandmothers to get. Holy balls. See if you can find it in your neck o the woods.

Speaking of stout, for cooking I use Kona Pipeline Porter. It's cheaper than the really good drinking stuff and works fine for things like Welsh Rarebit. Just wanted to share a tidbit of a tip
