First pot roast of the season. Still 80 degree out today, but sounded good.

 

Crockpot full chicken dinner.

Potatoes green beans and let quarters.

 

Oh yeah. That pic gives me a serious hankerin.

 

this is looks good.....know what Ill be making tomorrow!

...^^^... That "pot roast" photo stuck in my brain last night and today I wanted POT ROAST ... .

It's rare that food does that to me since I eat out almost all the time ... I might buy a crock pot today and learn how to cook it.

My grandmother made the best pot roast when I was a kid.

Damn near. Her nose was all up in our business while we were trying to plate it

 

Made some more of the cheeseburger meatballs last night. Tasty little nuggets.

Recipe?

 

It’s really simple/traditional mexican breakfast though usually with beans and no meat.

Take dry corn tortillas (stale-ish or left out overnight to dry. Can also force dry in a microwave or oven/toaster oven), cut them into whatever strips/triangles and quantity you want. Heat some oil to medium/medium low on stove. Add tortillas and cook until browned.

Remove tortillas, let dry.

Add a little more oil to the pan, add your choice of salsa and let it cook in the same temp oil for a few minutes. Then add eggs.

Add tortillas back into pan to re-heat. Then serve when eggs are cooked to your liking. I’ve seen them just fried in salsa, in that pic they’re basically stirred around to scrambled. Cilantro and cheese is optional.

 

Mater soup and turkey melt.

 

You hit that turkey melt with some mayo on the inside?

Try it.

 

I hit all sides with mayo to toast it up....works better than butter.
