Foodies BS Thread.

I like bread crumbs in my deer burgers cuz i usually put some dale's or bbq sauce to kinda cover up any gamey flavor that might have made its way through and the bread crumbs keep it from being way too wet. If you fry em it gives you some nice crispy bites on the outside too. There are a couple "restaurants" around here that cook bread burgers like literally a pack of buns per pound of meat or somethin. They used to do it during the depression to make meat go farther and thats how they make em. Deep fried in grease that has prolly been there since the 40's, they keep a pile of cooked patties by the stove; always order a cheese burger cuz they will throne it back in the grease to melt the cheese. They are nice a crunchy on the outside, but its a thing you i ly need to eat a couple times a year for sure

 

Hmmm never thought about throwing crumbs in venison burgers. Might have to grab a few packs of ground venison from my buddy @SAWDOG18 in the morning before I head home.

Parents don't like deer though...I guess it just means more for me!

 

I had two ribeyes soaking in a mix of Montreal Steak Seasoning, soy sauce, olive oil & coffee overnight.


Son came home and declared he was hungry and yes, steaks sounded good.....but he said he wanted his cooked medium with a nicely seared crust.

The rain and late hour had me doing this 'un indoors.











Once I got him going.....I cooked the second one to my liking and ate most of it myself.








Gonna fire up a smoker in the rain here in an hour or two.

some authentic mexican places have it, its best iced IMO. Just have to search for a good place, or sometimes taco truck/bus will have it. or you can make your own they also have a mix that is decent...

Seared Ahi and stir fried veggies with Shirataki noodles.

Tritip, sweet corn, roasted carrots and broccolini, and sauteed spinach.
