Went kinda cave man on my grill with straight pecan wood fire. Dunno what kind of
Fish these are. they came from my sister's FIL and I have no idea how long they had been frozen but they were vacuum sealed individually and had printing on them like he bought them from somewhere. I soaked em in some brine with lemon and ginger for a couple hours and then put lemon pepper seasoning on them. The first piece I tried was pretty fishy but the others tasted ok... Long story short, I'm glad I also cooked a couple burgers but it was my first attempt at grilled fish and will be good practice for my beach trip in a couple weeks. Also browned half the burger and stuffed some shrooms

Did a small low country boil last night. Substituted cauliflower for red potatoes.....looked horrid but tasted really good.

Saw it on the shelf and had to grab a couple bottles to test drive it.

Flavor is bolder than the original and I prefer it over the garlic version of Texas Pete.

This morning I finished off the last of the crumbled bacon & portabellas.

Sautéed the shrooms in the garlic Crystal and added eggs, bacon and cheese.

Some local hot country sausage and it was good to go.

My second attempt at sweet and sour pork. I used pork cheeks as the cut. It’s a great flavored cut.

Gonna add a "waffle iron Wednesday" to my weekly uploads once I get back from the beach next week and the first one should be a crowd pleaser. "Pineapple upside down waffles"

Kinda like a Flan. This is what it looks like, you peel the brown skin off, its more neutral than a potato, but similar consistency. Its starchy

many chain grocery stores carry it, especially in the south. Mexican markets will have it. Its usually in the fresh vegetable section where they spray the veggies with water.
