yeah its pretty warm. I have some tabasco peppers I did a few years ago that I use in place of red pepper flakes and they are scorching so you can over do it in a hurry. these should be about right to do at about the rate of black pepper or a little less and get plenty of heat and flavor without overwhelming the dish

I dehydrated some Thai peppers, I was just going to crush them up in a pestal and mortar. I just havent got around to it;) I dont know if all of the peppers we have planted will produce but we have jalapenos loading up now, the habaneros are just starting to flower and the guatemalan peppers are behind the habaneros. hopefully I get them to fruit before fall...

Many moons ago my MiL gave me a dehydrator. I dried some Cayenne and put it in a blender. When done, my wife pulled the lid and smelled it. Much sneezing and coughing ensued. So what does MiL do? Same thing, same result. I LMAO. Apple not far from the tree, or tree not far from the apple?

Did some stuffed pork chops last night. Came out amazingly tender.

Pretty much. Leave old bread out and season or take it from a box. Either way, win.

Not much going on here this afternoon......just did some easy eats to fill up a crowd at dinner.

    Love the garlic !!!!

Cooked the onion & garlic a while and used it as a base for the canned sauce.

Let it simmer two hours or so........my boy came home and walked into the kitchen and was instantly interested in what was going on....I asked him to taste test the sauce.

He said, "Dad...the sauce is lit".

    I think that's a good thing, right ?

Made the obligatory green stuff....in this case a bunny puddin'.

Had also been simmering some Italian sweet sausage, too...in beer & garlic.

Everyone was happy with the results and proceeded to throw down.

    Those things look neat.

I saw a cook someone posted on a grilling forum I was on where they had a few unexpected guests show up for dinner.....they were not prepared to serve that many.

Broke out their Instant Pot and a sack of dry beans.....had them cooked up in some crazy-fast time....something like 30 minutes from dry to cooked. They'd cooked an onion and jalapeño in there with the beans along with some type of roast that shredded up. Fed a huge crowd and was an on-th-fly conjuring that hit the spot.

It got my interest then, as we enjoy various peas & beans, but it takes some planning with obligatory overnight soaking. I never know how to plan for son and his crowd.....they just show up hongry sometimes. :)

Interested in seeing how this works for you.

I'm guessing the Youtubes has a pile of video recipes on there........
