    Broke out the little Weber last night for some T-bonz.


    Truth be told I wasn't so much interested in them due to wanting to get back to the football watching.....grateful for a fast cook.


    By morning time today, though, my interests have settled in on those T-bonz that were leftover. Rare occurrence.....no pun intended.


    I cut off the strip side of the leftover T-bone and heated it up along with some vegetables & cheesy eggs.


    Made a batch of biscuits that my Grandma used to call "silver dollar biscuits".


    Tasty breakfast was had....gotta love steak & eggs.

    My son is visiting from college, so we treated him with all his favorites that he doesn't easily get on campus. Ribs, hot wings, scallops (yes, I know, weird combination), curly fries and asparagus (because my wife insisted on adding veggies)

    Sous vide arm roast at 135° for 30 hours. It was almost like a rib roast. Simply amazing

    So......this morning I wiped out the last of the T-bonz.


    I used the strip side for an omelet for my wife.......and kept the tenderloin side for myself with some cheesy scrambled eggs. Gotta love a steak that you can slice with your fork.


    She said the sweet red pepper came through hugely in terms of flavor.

    Steak Soup
    1 lb ground round, or HB
    1 can stewed tomatoes, chopped
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 can mixed veggies, drained
    1 tsp sugar
    2 c water
    1/2 pkg onion soup mix
    dash of oregano, garlic, etc.

    Brown meat, drain fat
    Add everything else and simmer 1 hour.
    I add fresh sliced mushrooms near the end of the simmer.
    Serve with biscuits or cornbread.

    Simple to make and damned tasty!

    On thing thats great about rare-medium-rare steaks on the grill.....is that leftovers can be reheated and still not be overcooked.

    Posted this somewhere here a few months ago but thought it BS thread worthy.

    Campfire paella. Just a hodgepodge of stuff cooking over a fire. Leftovers make for a great early camp breakfast the day after.
