Leftovers made some great breakfast tacos.

Scrambled cheesy eggs, habanero salsa, cherrywood smoked bacon, cheddar jack in double-decker shells and a shot of street taco salsa verde.

Throw out that avocado and add some good chicken or some ham and that might be alright.

I know it's late but I figured I'd give the rotisserie a yard bird. I've never used this feature and I've had it for 2 years

I'm hoping my Texans will pull it off tonight. 8 straight wins sure would bode well.

    Concerns over there O-line, though.

Kids are eating with us tonight. They like salmon and we love it...........so an easy menu was conjured up.

Knowing that they are finicky eaters.....there are options they can heat up as sides with their salmon. My bride called and said two things: 1) I'd like a salad when I get home 2) I think I have a broken toe and will be stopping off at the doctor's office on the way home from work.

She said it so routinely that I almost missed the broken bone part Dangitman. After everything she's been through this past year.....a broken toe is almost comical........almost.

    So......salmon + spinach-based salad was made ready.

Dessert was already in the works....I did a mix of Honeycrisp & Granny Smiths.

Helen heard her momma get up and head upstairs and she made a beeline to join her.

I followed Helen up with a slice of this hurried apple pie.....didn't let it cool off the recommended amount of time..........but it worked out okay.

Crockpot beans tonight.....still cruising along and have the house smelling good.

Thawed out the meaty smoked ham bone from Thanksgiving. Added some garlic.

    Covered with soaked beans.

Hit it with some sea salt & krunk the pepper mill over it a heap.

Next, moved over to another pot that will run 275-ish for several hours.

It has a 5lb chuck roast in it with onions, onion soup mix, ranch dressing, celery, carrots, taters, shrooms, Tajín seasoning and other typical roast stuff.
