We went to visit my son at his college dorm. He has a dorm room with a kitchen - apartment style, because he loves to cook (because he loves to eat!).
He made us some killer steaks - I certainly raised this boy right!

I always make mexican food on Tuesdays. Enchiladas last night with chicken from the crockpot.

The kids were out with friends so my wife and I had date night at home. We made a raclette dinner while watching a movie.
It is a nice way to spend the evening; no rush to get done with dinner - you just keep eating a few pieces at a time and you have hot food all the time.

    Wow you all!

Me? I dedicated myself to cleaning leaves out of my yard. I’m tired. Dinner was quick tacos. Surf-turf with a homemade pico de Gallo

Got the disc out. I need to use it more often.

...^^^... Great idea and nice setup too .. .. I will try that setup later.

In Thailand, we go to a few places where we cook our own meats, seafoods and veggies in the middle of the table.

We can cook them on a hot solid surface, in hot water or hot oil. It's a great way to slow down, relax, "family bond", enjoy a good meal and a conversation (no cells phones at meals, lol).

We will be permanently moving from Thailand back to the US in about April, 2020 and I will miss those casual Thai meals ... friendly people and super foods at great prices too.

Sunday dinner. I rolled up some chicken thighs with cheese inside and wrapped in bacon. A little sliver of chicken breast inside also to add a little more meat.
Smoked it low and slow and then turned the heat up at the end to crisp the bacon a little bit.

Took the smaller backstrap tonight and cut into medallions. Seared over medium high heat in avocado oil, seasoned with salt pepper garlic powder and granulated onion. Tossed some butter in after I flipped them and when the meat was resting I poured some Cajun seasoning into the pan juices and stirred, spooned a little on top of the meat. Cooked it a little more than I planned but it was still pink.

    It was fucking delicious.
