    Here’s the only biscuit recipe u need, from Joy of Cooking

    I think the key to fluffy layered biscuits is to keep the kneading to a minimum, and make sure the butter chunks stay chunky, cold and well distributed before putting in oven.
    As far as gravy goes fry up some chunks of seasoned sausage (hamburger mixed in is great too) then coat browned meat with flour then add milk slowly and bring it up to temp while constantly stirring.
    It’ll set into gravy when it gets hot enough

    a sliced beefsteak tomato (with salt and fresh ground pepper) like u mentioned above and a couple fried eggs make this breakfast complete lol

    Just use 2 tbl spoons bacon grease and 2tbl spoons flour, stir in pan and let it cook a min or two, add sausage pieces about 2 cups milk and stir till thickened. Salt and pepper to taste.
