I'm trying to be good with the carbs so dinner tonight was a keto bun, mayo, a healthy sprinkle of cajun seasoning, huge piece of iceberg lettuce, air fried chicken and sweet and spicy pickles with air fried green beans with cracked pepper.



The green beans could have used some more cooking.

 

Cajun Ramen

Blackened Chicken Sausage, Crawfish Tails, Crab Meat, Shrimp, Green Onion and Ramen Noodles all meet in a Cajun inspired broth with Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Kosher Salt, Parsley, Garlic Powder, Smoked Paprika and topped with an Egg!

 

Marry me.

Well, at least drop the recipe please!

 

Well... mostly I was using up seafood that I didn't use last night while making this..



So I had 6 fresh EZ Peel shrimp that I went ahead and peeled

I had 1 snow crab cluster that I went ahead and broke down since it was already cooked.

I had 8 or 10 whole cooked crawfish that I broke down for the tail meat...



I started by boiling a couple of eggs



I then used a can of chicken broth.. 14.5oz I believe and 1 cup of water and put that in another pot with 1/2 teaspoon each of Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Kosher Salt, Garlic Powder, Smoked Paprika, and Dried Parsley along with 5 teaspoons of Minced Garlic.



I also threw in the end of the green onion stalk that I didn't slice up for garnish. I let this simmer while the eggs boiled for 15 minutes.



Meanwhile I sliced up some Smoked Blackened Chicken Sausage and put a crisp on them in a small cast iron pan.



I pulled the eggs and put them in cold water and used the same boiling water to cook the shrimp for 3 minutes then removed those and cooked the Ramen Noodles for 3 minutes in that same water.

I put the noodles in the bowl first, then filled with the broth. I added the shrimp, sausage, crab meat and crawfish tails. Since the crab and crawfish was already cooked it just needed to warm up in the broth. Topped everything with the egg and the sliced green onion mentioned before.

 

Great minds^ a lady at work made some pear honey and gave me so I baked some biscuits to go with yesterday

 

lol we did our dessert course with some peach butter and peach chile jelly

...^^^... When I was very young we used to visit our relatives way out in the country ... and I would watch them do that with
butter-milk.

I was too young to enjoy real country cooking back then and I hated biscuits ... lol

After the military ... I could eat almost anything ... except calamari and liver.

 

My wifes dad did that...

 

Me no likey buttermilk, unless it's in a pancake.

 

Or biscuit. Straight up in cornbread...nope!
