    The Works.
    I made hot and sour soup from a recipe I found online. Could not have been further from what a chinese restaurant tastes like. I'm not experienced in chinese cooking. I've made kung pao and that's about it so I can't put my finger on what it's missing? Figure I'll try a different recipe and see if that brings it any closer to what my tastebuds know and like.

    I find that a lot of his recipes are fairly easy, produce good results, and if nothing else gives you a good base for tweaking to your liking. :notsure:

    I also like Kenji’s recipes, but find a lot of his to be time consuming. But for some dishes necessary.
