    When neighbors give you scallions, you work ‘em hard. Scallion pancakes, scallion teriyaki, leftover brisket (heated with scallions in the foil packet).

    Green onions to me… I love to coat them in olive oil, sprinkle with kosher salt, minced garlic, and a little lemon juice (or lime)… throw them on the grill until they wilt, start to char. DELICIOUS!

    you could make your own Jamaican Jerk spice as it is scallion based

    When I lived in Kingston Ja. there was a very good jerk place nearby that had two cashiers, one for chicken and one for pork. Yes, if you wanted both, you had to line up twice. There was a large sign on the wall behind one cashier, "PORK CASHIER HERE"

    Just for national garlic day I used fresh garlic for dinner last night instead of the pre-minced stuff I use because I don’t care to mince garlic…

    I may have to change my approach on this….such a difference in flavor.

    Here’s to National Garlic Day!!!!!!!
