I was at a German restaurant last night. I got this Farmer's Platter.
Pork roast, bacon, bratwurst and small pork shank. Served with roasted potatoes and sourcraut, and mustard dipping sauces. Awesome flavors.

Tonight I grilled a lamb rack and served with green beans, carrots, rice and tomato salad.

Fresh Chimichurri for tomorrow's Tri-Tip. Fresh Parsley, Cilnatro and Oregano, Jalapeno, Garlic (enough to cure the clap), Red Wine Vinegar, White Pepper and Kosher Salt. Combine with really good Olive Oil till smooth. It will grow hair on your chest. It's proven.

Wrapping my head around this - I’m not a mayo fan. I only use for a few things, but I do use mayo as a spread for the outside of the bread when making a grilled sandwich of whatever sort.

Is that how you are using the mayo, or mayo as a spread with the PB? Just curious.

It's eggs and olive oil. I make my own and use it for a ton of stuff. On the outside of bread for paninis. Inside sandwiches. On burgers. I've seen mayo cake as well (it's olive oil and eggs, those things go into cake anyway. At least vegetable oil, so, close enough).

My college dorm neighbor was from Ohio. She talked about this sandwich - peanut butter, pickles, and mayo. We all called BS, until she made one at the difac and housed it. I at least took one for the team. I can't make fun of/say i don't like something without trying it. And much to my surprise....no, it was awful.

Ahhhh, yes the good ol aioli :) yes, add some sriracha in and you got a good spicy aioli. Add some garlic, pickles, ketchup and mustard powder, an even better fake shack sauce!

I still can’t wrap my head around adding eggs and oil that’s not cooked in flour to bananas and peanut butter. But, I don’t knock it. I know things can amp up the flavor profile.

Simple cooking was discussed a couple weeks ago. Perfect example and one of my favorites, roasted chicken and veggies. Oil, salt, and 400 degrees.

Only after I took the picture and started to carve it did I realize it was cooked upside down. My brain is mush after studying all week. Didn't effect the taste though!

Yes, although he liked his pan fried in butter (like a grilled cheese).

I spread smooth peanut butter on one slice of bread, top it with a banana sliced length wise, then spread mayo on the top slice of bread to finish. For me it came from eating banana sandwiches as a kid with mayo spread on both slices. Nutella is a really good as well, but no mayo on those.

How do you cook potatoes upside down? Are you Australian?

    :boink:

Chicken thigh - boneless/skinless, dry rub with Frank's Red Hot dry original.

Pork loin - dry rubbed with adobo. Both done at 225 on a pellet pooper. Pork to 145.

Potatoes - sliced, boiled, whipped with no fats added. Save the 'tater water, put some back in and whip with it. Makes for a good whip/mash, without fats added. (Benefit for us, vegan, but whatever).

    Broccoli - Broccoli.

    PS - These things....
