Even $5.99 isn't that much (or any) more than regular crappy ground beef. Although you've got bone waste with tbones.

We also have an independent grocery here that has "reduced for quick sale" meat specials on saturday mornings. Super cheap, but I have food preservation issues which prohibit me from taking advantage of it. I always see people stocking up on that stuff when I'm there, so it must not be that bad. One of these days I'm going to can some. That will kill any nasty stuff.

Oh man y'all don't have fried pies? Like McDonald's hot apple pie, but good lol, and I just cooked apples and sweet potatoes together in the crockpot for my filling

We have fried pies - terrible, like McDonalds, Rally’s, etc… or awesome, like Hubig’s pies, or Haydel’s hand pies…

The bad thing about a place like that being 45 minutes away, is you can't buy enough to bring back because they get Eaton the ride home... I could put away a lot of fried pies in 45 minutes lol

What type of dough do you use for that? I'm thinking my kids would be down for those!

I just modified my biscuit dough, added a little sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg then rolled it as thin as I could and still work with it

Don't have a picture yet (will tr to take one when I have it for lunch either today or tomorrow) but I did some really good Chicken Noodle Soup last night. Went heavy on the egg noodles since it's my daughter favorite part. We have a diner here called Classic and she loves their Chicken Noodle Soup and said this one came out as good or better than theirs is. She is super picky so that was the highest compliment lol.

Looks good. Egg Noodles used to be our go to but we have really grown to like Barilla Campanelle pasta in our Chicken Noodle Soup. It has a dumpling feel to it especially on day 2.

I’ve never had a smoked prime rib in my life. I never even thought of it as an option. Now I’m thinking it’s how all prime ribs should taste. Wild Turkey Bar, Conover WI. IMG_0006.jpg

I may have to give that a try. My daughter is a big pasta lover. Even with the egg noodles I think I'm going to make my own the next time.

We do Prime Rib almost every year for our Anniversary/New Years Eve and have been smoking them for a long time now. Add some great extra flavor to the overall profile.
