Pomegranate Chimichuri over bacon wrapped sirloin steak, bacon wrapped green beans and crispy smashed potatoes with a Jalapeño Cilantro sauce.

 

i lived in Fremont for a bit and never knew they had food like that nearby. looks good!

 

Emil Villa's used to be all over the place. There was one in Campbell when I lived out there.

Yes the recipe says vegan but so is pesto, and many things by technicality. This sauce is the bees knees. Can of artichokes. Sauteed garlic in olive oil, add a bit of broth, blend high speed for minute or so. first time making it in the Vitamix and it's a game changer for it. Made a double batch two cans, box of cavetappi and a pound of ground turkey. Deeeeelicious.

I had some ground Italian sausage in the freezer to use up and came across a recipe with riced cauliflower, bell pepper, onion and spices that sounded like it would be worth a shot.

Old school strip lion, cooked rare, rested it with fleur de sel and shaved parmesan, served with butter poached button mushrooms, baked potato and garlic bread.

The kind of meal my folks would have gone some place nice for fifty years ago.

My sister lives just west of OKC. I was trying to justify a trip down to see her just to swing through this place.

 

Aww Damnit, I live in OK and was just in OKC on Monday looking for a place to eat. What rock do I live under that I have not heard about this!
