    This is Taiwan’s national dish.

beef noodle soup. The simple dish was tonight’s dinner, the leftovers.

Anything with mustard or sauerkraut, I’m in. Looks like a great comfort dish.

Yep! Rice noodles with sesame oil, cabbage, carrot, cucumber, avocado, green onion, cilantro. Asian style sauce and this yum yum sauce which I just discovered is good on everything!

First time making them and they were pretty easy. Looking forward to adding shrimp, crab, etc

My daughter and I made burgers today. She is really into the science of cooking; balancing flavors and textures and all those things that I don't always pay attention to. This was one of the best burger experiences I have ever had. Perfection, and I am not just saying it because it is my daughter's efforts. It was just the perfect combination of toppings.

Brioche bun with pork sausage patties. Brie cheese, stone ground Dijon mustard, sauteed onions, mushrooms, candied bacon, and arugula.

Good plan is tuna rare with the centre just warm. Screaming hot pan, fast seer on each side and done. Even covering with a warm sauce can over cook the meat.

    Looks good! Did you marinate?

I find that a ripping hot pan and 90-120 seconds per side works well for me. Any longer and it burns - that hot.
