Footwell Lights That Don’t Suck

It's just nice to have the footwell lit. Hard to imagine why until you have it. Old vehicles like my Jeep used to light the floor as part of the courtesy light/dome circuit. It's handy for finding something that fell and just plain seeing where you're stepping. Sounds dumb but it's nice once you have it. The guys here and VLEDS did a very nice job executing it.

Wheel well lights are popular but I think he's thinking you're gonna be one of the bros blasting light on the ground as you drive down the road. There is absolutely no reason why people do that, but they do. If you mean using them for rock lights, then that is a purpose, but these aren't the right lights for that purpose. Go with KC Cyclones or one of the rigid or Baja designs dedicated rock lights if that's what you need.

They come adjusted to minimum dimness, which I went back to
Very faint glow that doesn’t seem to distract eyes from the road vs adjusting the brightness higher

Bright with door open
Dim adjustment when closed
You can pick red which is visible but easier on the eyes than white

 

I went with Red so far its been nice. its is very faint when closed which is nice. I was debating on increasing slightly but its subtle now which is nice.

 

I started having issues yesterday but I can't place fault on anything yet. All my interior lights and tail lights started flickering

Have you removed the aftermarket items for a test?

 

I dropped it off today at the shop who did my install for them to play with it. It was pretty frustrating when I noticed it yesterday to be honest

For sure. The latest things added that tied into the same circuit was the puddle pods. The issue didn't start right away or at least I didn't notice it.

Do they fidget when parking lamps are selected?

It was doing it during all settings

 

Test by removing the module box and connecting directly to foot well LED, leave Low (parking) off.

 

I'll mention that to them tomorrow. Just to reiterate though it's not only the foot well lights. I need to look and see what all lights are tied into that same circuit
