Hey guys I just picked up my manual yesterday and have put about 450km on it driving it home from the dealer yesterday. I might just be paranoid from the fella whose transmission went very early. But I find when the clutch is in all the way going into 2nd on a down shift it seems like I feel a vibration of sort. It could be just me but other then that really enjoying the manual. Thanks in advance

I haven't noticed a vibration exactly but I find going 1 to 2 smoothly requires a lot more finesse than the other MTs in my garage (2011 Subaru, 1987 Toyota pickup). Not sure I'm perceptive enough to tell the difference between an abnormal vibration or me just botching a shift.

Well I would like to think that I am a descent manual driver. Its just on the down shift that I notice and maybe its normal I find it easier to tell with the radio down

I have not driven the 4th gen, but I have noticed that every stick has their own personality. I've had many that either rattle or stick on a single gate at some magic rpm. I'm going to take an uneducated speculation that you're just feeling a quirk of the synchros.

I say drive it, enjoy it. If it's wrong then it will noticably get worse, and you have plenty of warranty remaining to monitor.

    Congrats on the beautiful truck!
I saw it in the lot at O'Regan's, was going to test drive it, but saw on here that you already bought it. Enjoy!

If the 4th gen's 6MT is the same as the 3rd gen, I've always noticed 2nd gear shifts have always required a little more attention to get things right. Even so it's just a clunky box when compared to anything else.
