Available for sale is my 1999 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4x4 Xtra-cab with 155,000 miles. I am sad to see it go and planned on driving it to 300k+ miles but I need a 4 door truck for my growing family. I bought the truck in 2008 with 98,000 miles on it and according to Carfax I am the 3rd owner. Carfax reports the truck originally purchased in Oregon until 33k miles, then Arizona until 65kmiles and finally San Diego from 65k miles to now. It’s been in sunny/dry weather for most of its life. Asking price is $8,800 OBO. The truck is located in San Diego, CA. Here are the specs:
    • 1999 Tacoma SR5 Xtra-cab 4x4 with 2.7L (3rz) motor.
    • 155,000 miles (I bought it with 98,000).
    • Transmission: 5 speed manual.
    • Mechanically: 10 out of 10. Runs and drives perfect, super strong engine.
    • Exterior: 7 out of 10. Has some dings and scratches typical for a 15 year old truck. Cleans up and polishes-up super well.
    • Interior: 7 out of 10. Very clean for a 15 year old truck, no tears or major stains.
    • No accidents. I have clean title in-hand.
    • Mobil 1 oil change every 5,000 miles.
    • Front suspension: Fabtech Dirt Logic 2.5 coil-overs with All Pro upper control arms. Approx 3.5” lift from stock.
    • Rear suspension: All Pro leaf packs in rear with Bilstein 5150 shocks. Approx 3.5” lift from stock.
    • Wheels and tire: 15" Procomp steel wheels with BFG AT's 32x11.5x15 with 5,000 miles on them (wheels & tires). Full size matching spare tire/wheel in stock mounting position under truck.
    • Bumper & lights: ARB Front Bumper with 55W HID lights, 55W halogen rear lights on separate switch.
    • Intake and exhaust: K&N cold air intake, Doug Thorley Headers, high flow cat, Flowmaster series 60 muffler.
    • Extras: fork mount bike rack in bed, tow package, bucket seats (no bench), Alpine head unit, tail light grills, 2 sets of keys, original owners manual, original complete tool-kit, alarm, Maglite + mount included, WeatherTech floor mats.

It's a clean truck and drives great. Perfect for a daily driver, work truck, desert/off-road /weekend truck. I've done what I consider tasteful suspension and intake/exhaust modifications to liven it up. This truck is a perfect platform for more serious mods or keep it as-is. I am a car guy and take excellent care of my vehicles. It will easily go another 150,000+ miles for the next owner.

Please call/email/text me with any questions and to set up a time to see the truck.

Very nice truck. And yes very tasteful mods. Looks great and low miles and manual. Wish I could trade you my '13 DCSB for it. Love the pre 2k pickups. GLWS. Looks like someone will get into a great pickup!

I'm about to sell my 98 with very similar specs, except mine came with manual hubs. Selling for same reason, needed bigger. As I drive around in my newer tacoma, I miss the 98. Going to be a sad day when I list it.
    You getting a 2nd gen?

Pre-2001 all had manual hubs I'm pretty sure. ADD came in 2001. Pretty sure I see locking hubs in the pics. Anyway, OP, You have no idea how much I wish I had that truck haha. I hate not having a 4wd

OP's truck doesn't have manual hubs. Unless he covered them with center caps. From my gathering it's a hit or miss thing. Which is why it took me so long to find one like mine.

Smmarine, you can always buy mine. It's located much closer then the op's :D

Haha I wish. 1. I want an ex cab for a DD. 2. I can't really sell my truck at the present. In the future, I'd actually like to do a 4wd swap. Parts are hard to find, but right now funds are low so I'm not really looking

The 99 that I just sold didn't have manual locking hubs. I bought a 2010 TRD Off Road DC. Definitely will miss my 99. It was so simple which is what I loved about it.

Ok. I didn't know they had ADD in 99. Must have been an option few people got

I feel you. I'd rather drive my 98 then my 2010. Both are access cab, 4x4. Just something simple feeling about the 4cyl, 5spd combo. Could cruise all day without a care. In the 2nd gen, not so much.
