    SOLD - SOLD - SOLD

Offering the original wheel from my 2008 RX350, in the darker wood color with black leather wrap. Approximately 15" diameter and about 4½" dish. Overall decent condition, with a few modest scrapes and one noticeable defect discussed below. Includes switches as shown. No airbag, clock spring, or airbag cover.

$45 including ground USPS shipping to continental US destinations. PayPal preferred.

$15 cash if you come by my house to pick it up. :)

I'm hoping this (1) finds a new home -- I'm never going to use it, and (2) helps somebody out with their project.

This wheel was used for about a dozen years and 60k-ish miles on my RX. I replaced it with a similarly used one after a Lexus tech I know somehow knocked off about a little fingernail sized chip of the clearcoat on the wheel at about the 7:00 position while working privately to replace the RX's instrument panel (their turning into goo is a well known problem). I have no idea... The wood underneath seems fine, and I'm betting someone who wanted to take care with some clear varnish or nail polish and some sensitive polishing could make it almost indistinguishable. But it's there now, as shown in the pix.

Here's a gallery from my SmugMug account showing a bunch of views of the wheel. Note that the last two images of the RX interior showing the tape measure are of the replacement wheel currently there, not the one taken out and being sold here.

Determining exactly how to fit this in your Tacoma is up to you, including things like switch hookup and connector types. For background, see this excellent thread by @t1m829 in the Gen 2 subforum which shows in detail how an owner made it work and what the conversion looks like.

    Thanks for looking --

How's the top of the wheel look?

There's a minor scrape, @Jimmy92870 -- kind of a gouge, although that sounds kind of strong -- at about 11:00. You can just see it in the main photo in my post. It's about an inch long, with two tiny marks alongside it. The wood is dented slightly but the finish doesn't seem to be broken. This probably happened at the same time whatever accident befell the finish at 7:00, because I don't remember it beforehand. (The tech who did the instrument panel work didn't explain the details about what happened, although he was straight about saying he did damage the wheel.)

The rest of the top shows minor wear from about 60k miles of driving, but no discoloration, no fading, no noticeable damage.

I'll take a few new photos under different lighting and update the SmugMug gallery.
