aloha everyone! it's been a long ass time since I've posted on this forum, but I try to keep up every now and then.

so long story short, I'm putting out a feeler to see if anyone is interested in my truck. yup, thinking about selling it. this sale is pretty much driven by necessity as I have 3 young keiki (4yo twins and a 7yo) and space in the backseat of a Tacoma is pretty shitty for it. it's doable, but difficult. if anyone happens to be interested, just know that I can't sell until around December, when I'll have the option to buy out my uncle's leased Tundra.

I have a thread here where I tried to keep track of stuff done and updates, but after I left Oʻahu and moved back to Hawaiʻi island (Kona), I haven't really been keeping up with this forum:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/slow-ass-mt-build-random-adventures.418742/

anyway, I posted a KBB screenshot of the private party value, based on the all stock specs that they allowed me to pick. I'm not really factoring the cost of anything I've done/bought, but the truck is in excellent condition so that's why I'm closer to the high-end of the KBB scale, but am willing to discuss. most guys on Hawai'i island are looking for DB lifts and huge/stretched MT tires, so they're kinda missing out on the point of function over form, in my opinion, so I'd rather see if someone on this forum is interested first.

stuff not listed on build page:
    • 2014 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4
    • registration paid through June 2020
    • safety good through October 2020
    • clean title, title in hand, no accidents
    • no recon issues (had recon before I moved)
    • 46,xxx miles (and counting cause it's my daily driver, but I live 5 miles from my work)
    • Duratracs purchased on 6/3/19 and I've put on 2,500 miles since then
    • spare rim is also a matte bronze FN Countersteer, but with an almost new 255/85r16 ST Maxx tire mounted
    • things not included in sale:
      • Factor55 hitchlink & hitch pin
      • Yakima powderhounds
        • Yakima roof racks stay with the camper
      • TJM awning
      • Ultragauge
    • cons:
      • could use a good detail even though I wash and handwax it
      • snugtop rear fold down window (between camper and cab) needs some work. the rear window "latch catch", as Aloha Toppers calls it, it worn and needs to be replaced. basically, it's what the window latch hooks up to to keep the window up. I talked to Aloha Toppers today (I purchased the camper there), and Marie told me the replacement part is $4 and needs to be riveted on (replacing the old/worn part). not something I have the tools or knowledge to do, but she did mention that they could do it for you for a labor charge. in Kona, we have zero camper dealers, so I have no resources here.
      • has an almost unnoticeable .5"-1" super minor dent on the rear bumper (drivers side) from some asshole at Walmart who bumped my truck and left. I'll update this with pics this weekend.

so I realize most of you guys are on Oʻahu, so shipping can be included through Young Brothers (I have immediate family who work there). I haven't really thought out how to work out payment and transfer yet, but I have some time to figure all that stuff out.

UPDATE: truck traded in for a Tundra :cookiemonster:

also, since someone asked for the KBB options I chose, here it is. if I chose anything incorrectly, please let me know so I can redo it and repost. the "Excellent" condition rating was from a friend who works at Toyota and another at Honda. both places looked at the truck and gave me an average value of $26,500 for a trade-in.

edit: sorry, Iʻm not saying Iʻm 100% correct on the option selections, this is just my interpretation of it. for example roof rack I assume means OEM roof rack, but I have a rack on my camper, so I selected it.

since Iʻm on here, hereʻs a pic of the rear bumper dent. I think that smudge mark can be buffed out (the dots is dirt from the rain), but the dent is about the size of the mark, so more like 1". sorry, was hard to get a good pic of a white bumper is blasting sun. also, the other pics are the truck as it sits now, right in my driveway lol

yeah, we'll see if it even gets sold, but if it does, I'll probably still lurk around. I'm a sucker for Tacomas. I'm sure I'll realize how fun it was to ramble a Tacoma when I get my first pass at "rambling" a Tundra. hahaha

    space-wise, yes.
    off road-wise, maybe? it's a huge truck.

you don't realize how shitty the backseat space in a Tacoma is until you have 4yo twins and a 7yo in the backseat. lol.

Was waiting for you to accept my offer... :annoyed:

Picked up a DCLB 4x4. Now I have to build this thing up.. Would have been done if I picked up your truck.

GLWS.. Whoever gets it, will score big.
