    Aus came to hospice on his Maxx Memorial Bike…… there is a back story to this thing.

    This was Austin’s first motorcycle he ever bought many years ago. He sold it, and somehow Maxx ended up purchasing it from whoever bought it from Aus. The bike never really worked right and they decided that they were going to work on it together and do what they can and get it running.

    We lost Moke before they had the opportunity to do that. Once again, Aus found himself the owner of this bike.

    The community pulled together and gave money to a bike shop to get this bike turned into a memorial bike for Austin and surprise him with it.

    We had a great relationship as adults.

    He was so supportive of me when I had bad times dealing with Moke.

    Here is him comforting me on Maxx’s birthday last year after we did cake.

    Everyone went back outside except him and my daughter. From the time Maxx passed to the time he did, anytime we were together, he always stayed right by my side. When everyone walked out, I broke down, he knew to stay back and hold me like he did many times before.

    I’m sad too….. takes me back to a bad place with Moke. I’m gonna be reaching for him at every gathering and he won’t be there. He would just sit quietly with me while others were having fun when I couldn’t participate cuz I just didn’t have it in me. He always stayed back with me.
