    I was thinking the same thing, that tree is getting big.

    The corn is growing in the field across the street, that damn corn is a trigger for me. I was hoping it would be beans this year.

    My dad’s visitation is Saturday, not sure I can go….. leaning towards not. I was at the hospital and hospice the whole time.
    I know he would understand.

    To each his own,

    I said goodbye to my dad when he was near the end, and I told him I would not be at his funeral (mom said I had too), but I would not go into the home until the last moment and then I stood off to the side.


    The moral is:

    I did not want the last vision of him to be laying in a box.

    Funerals are hard for me also. I want to remember my loved ones full of life. When both of my grandparents on my mom’s side passed, I would not go to the funeral home to see them. When my dad passed No one could be with him, because of that stupid crap a couple years ago. Broke mine and my sisters hearts. I always try to think of the fun events that I got with each of them.
