I think we all know who Maxx is. I spent a little more time on this one as well.

I think the colors kinda match the background.

I would like to share my story of loss with you guys.

My mom died of metastatic breast cancer not long ago.

My best friend since 7th grade & my girlfriend of 15+ years were on their way to the funeral together.

They decided to take a Xanax (for stress & nerves) which was unknowingly laced with Fentanyl.

I never heard of Fentanyl before that & I'm sure they didn't either. We were three potheads, if anything.

They crashed into a concrete power pole & were pronounced dead on the scene.

I lost my three best friends in the world that day.

I was very close to my mom. Saw her everyday without fail. She was a best-selling author. Very observant.

Cherish the ones you love & always have hope. Never give up!

I like the cat pictures. We have a couple ourselves, and have lost a few over the years.

 

Can I ask how long ago this was for you? If you don’t want to talk about it, I respect that.

 

2016, you never really get over it. Just have to think positive & try help others when you see someone in need.

My mom was always helping others in any way she could. She was also very strict, if you didn't adhere to doing what is right.

She was a beautiful woman, inside & out. I miss her immensely. All my friends loved her.

I knew something was troubling you, Shauna. That's why I started to talk to you. So glad I did!

I'll always be here for you, even if it's just for the jokes. Laughter is the best medicine.

Take one day at a time, knowing your loved ones will always be in your heart & never forgotten. They can never, ever take that away.

Ya…. Most times I don’t know who I am anymore or where I belong which is partly why I’ve backed away from TW. I don’t go into some of the threads I used to. In general most people don’t talk to me like they did before and it’s uncomfortable for me. It’s just easier to stay away. I don’t want to be viewed as a downer either, but at my new core, I have many down moments and sometimes I’m not strong enough to hide them so I back away.

 

I totally understand, Shauna. It can feel like you're on a roller coaster or on the ocean with 10 foot waves, up & down, up & down.

Eventually you start feeling nauseous. It will get better with time, I promise. The human mind is very resilient & will heal itself in due time.

I have NEVER thought of you as a downer. On the contrary, I look forward to seeing your posts, even the sunsets.

You need not back away from us, we're here for you, through thick & thin. If you don't feel like posting for awhile, I'll take up the slack.

Always try to think positive, I know it can be hard. But that's possibly why you & I met. We can both get through this together.

Don't ever change! I like you just the way you are!
