Will this new gasket last the life of the Forester or the Forester is just prone to head gasket blowing, by design?

    Morning Shauna and gang

It'll last the life of the forester. It's the design of the gasket from the factory that tends to fail at around 150k miles in the 2.5s. The turbo models tend to fail a litlle sooner because of the turbo. My 03 WRX had It's head gaskets replaced a few years ago and it's got a little over 252k miles and it runs great

With the updated head gasket, How long does it last in the turbo models?

I'm still itching for a 1st Gen Forester with a STI engine. Liability is a must.

Probably about the same as NAS models. Never had an issue with the impreza granted all that was done before I bought it according to the PO. Had receipts for the clutch and the used JDM transmission. Didn't have one for headgaskets and the timing belt. But it shows no signs of failure and I've been somewhat hard on it in the 4 years I've had it lol

    Also good evening :hattip:

Besides the headgaskets they really are good vehicles. I was putting around 90 miles a day on the impreza for the past 9ish month. Only time it left on the side of the road was when one of the rear tires blew out
