Those do not exist around here, especially on my tight budget. I was toying with the idea of a 2wd truck. There's mostly 4 cylinder Ranger and S10's, but I know for a fact they cannot handle the mountain daily. I've seen a couple 4 cylinder 5 speed 1st gen Frontiers popping up here and there. I had one of those and know that engine would do better on the mountain.

Yanno they still make 6 speed manual Tacoma's. I'd rather see you in something like that.

Here's the thing....the 6 speed Hatch is rated at 37 MPG...the Taco 17. Plug that into a fuel calculator at $2.80 a gallon and that $1400 a year in fuel savings. Plus, I would have an older truck to make those Home Depot runs....and it would give me something to tinker with. I haven't had a good tinkering vehicle in a long time.

I don't. Just thinking about it right now. Haven't done anything

Not from the dipstick. I wonder if the coolant settles to the bottom. The oil is right at the bottom of the range though so at least it's not overfilled with coolant. I'm pretty close to needing a service so I'll try to pick up fluids today. Coolant is maybe an inch from the low line at cold so I'll monitor that and see if it drops.

 

No...there usually isn't much separation. Instead you get the milkshake of death

Weather is going to crap in FL along with flight park due to the new owners (overpriced everything, zero refunds on squat so we lost almost $200 between the RV spot and tow tickets, wasnt the case back in 2019). Pulled out to head back north this morning.
