Honestly, with all these factors, I think I'd get some quotes from bonded professionals. Then do a cost benefit analysis. I've learned my limitations over the years, and can now afford to pay, up to certain level, to avoid headaches and mitigate risk.
Sometimes you gotta "call the guy."

@Sig45 still loving that cutting board. Have you ever considered doing a full counter?

 

I haven't use a excavator in over 10 years. I going to need a lot of practice.

My main concern is the house and buried lines, gas, water, sewer. Then Dig Safe have to be called in to mark the lines. Gas line is 2 ft away from the shrubs. Root ball is nowhere near the top of the soil. So it going have to required a lot of digging.

Sometimes I got learn when to throw the towel in. Which can be difficult at times.

That's what I did with a big Bradford Pear last year. Best $500 I ever spent. Way too big, dangerous and close to the house to mess with myself

I had to do the same for the same reason. The tree was to big and to close to the neighbors house.

Since the people, next street over had them removing their tree they took the hit for the majority of the cost. Best $200 I spent.
